Tenor Drum Advice???????

Im going to be a sopre after this coming summer, and of course, Im one of those teens that like to spend their whole summer in marching band. :) Im playing the tenors this summer with the drumline...and I was wondering if there are hard to play..I mean, our group has worked on the state finals warm up and all, but we havent gotten into the show music..so I was wondering if Im in for a rude awaking once the summer starts...I have previously been on b 4 and 5.
