Descriptive essay help! please?

Hi, we have to do a descriptive essay and I'm doing mine on the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. The rough draft is due friday but i need to get a good start on it tonight. Please help me come up with a good opening paragraph (and ending if you can!) also, any important things to include/not include? and if you could help me with a title that would be great too.
