What happens if I buy an AC Adaptor for my laptop that has lower voltage?

I have a toshiba satellite a215-s5825 and I want to buy the whole charger for my laptop because the other one broke. On my old ac adapter, it says 70w, 19v. I don't really care if it takes a few minutes longer to charge, but I just want to know if it will be compatible with my computer and if it will work or not.
