My car was crushed in street parking by a backing up truck.The driver of the truck gave the details of owner?

He gave me photocopy of accident report saying how it happened and damages. I called owner but his answer was not satisfactory so next day I reported to police. Now I chasing owner for fixing my car but he is not responding properly. My car is badly damaged. It is 1990 Holden Barina was not insured. What I sould do? please help. Thanks in advance.
